Get Treated From Home: Learn About our Video Appointments

Between your job, your family, and everything else that places demands on your limited time, we understand that making your way to our office for an in-person visit isn’t always possible. But we don’t want your health to suffer as a result. It’s for this reason that we’re pleased to offer telemedicine, allowing you to get the care you need from the comfort of your own home or office, through video appointments.

At Life Point Medical, under the leadership of Dr. Timothy Scott Beck, we strive to form long-lasting partnerships with our patients in Clayton, Georgia, ensuring that all of their medical needs are looked after. While our team enjoys seeing you in person, we understand that life is, well, life, and it’s all you can do to get a good night’s sleep. To take one less time-consuming appointment off your plate, explore how our video appointments allow you to get the health care you need without skipping a beat in your busy day.

Here’s a quick look at what our video appointments can handle and how to get started.

A remote solution

Our video appointments are ideal for several different situations that don’t require a hands-on physical exam, starting with follow-up medical care. If you’ve come in to see us about a specific medical concern, a video appointment is a great way for us to check in and monitor your progress.

Let’s say you came to see us with a flare-up of arthritis. After we’ve diagnosed the problem and recommended a treatment plan, we can ensure that it’s working with a video appointment and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment protocol, if needed.

Another great reason for a video appointment is to handle your prescription medications. Whether you need a refill or you’d like to discuss a change in medications, we can get most everything accomplished through a video visit.

Lastly, if you have a minor emergency, but you’re not sure whether it requires medical care, our telemedicine service provides you with critical counsel and peace of mind.

Getting started

Setting up a remote consultation with us couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is go to our video visits page, then click on the “schedule now” button and fill out the form. If you’d prefer to call, a team member will be happy to set you up and answer any questions you might have.

Once you’re in our system, you’ll receive an e-mail or text that confirms the time and date for the visit. This communication asks you to log in to confirm your personal details, as well as your health insurance information. If we need to collect a copay, we collect the necessary payment through a secure system.

On the day of the video visit, we ask that you log in about 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time, armed with a list of the questions or concerns you have to make the best use of our e-time together.

The tech FAQs

Our video appointments work with most computers, tablets, or smartphones — all you need to do is download the “Chiron Health” app. We also want to assure you that our visit is perfectly secure because the app features bank-grade encryption. For your part, you should find a quiet space to conduct our visit so we can make sure all of your health care needs are met.

If you have any further questions about video visits, please don’t hesitate to give us call. Or you can use the link we provided above to get started.
