He asks about symptoms and medications you might take. Dr. Beck can complete a physical examination and use blood tests to evaluate levels of hormones present in your bloodstream.

What should I expect during hormone replacement therapy?

Dr. Beck and his team can numb your skin prior to pellet insertion. They make a tiny incision in the skin, place a small pellet right under your skin near your upper buttocks, and close the incision. 

There’s no downtime associated with pellet insertion, so you can resume your normal daily routine right away.

How often should I return for treatment?

BioTe pellets don’t last forever and must be replaced every few months. When it’s time for a replacement, Dr. Beck and his team implant a new pellet under your skin. 

He can monitor hormone blood levels over time to help you avoid symptoms of low testosterone or low estrogen.
